Committees 

The Bristol Sesquicentennial Steering Committee was formed by the Bristol Tennessee & Bristol Virginia City Councils in April 2004.  Two city council members and members-at-large were appointed from both cities, with a representative of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, to layout and implement Bristol’s 150^th anniversary in 2006.  Additional members have been appointed to the committee by the councils, as needed, and numerous subcommittees were set-up to broaden the effectiveness of the Sesquicentennial Committee.
